Who We Are
The Instil engineering team is responsible for building and maintaining all the features that power our product. We are a highly collaborative team who enjoys partnering with design and product to create delightful experiences for our customers.
On the data team here, part of that experience is the ability to better understand data and make informed decisions.
In context, we've just begun our mission. Our near term goal is to set the foundations for a capable and extensible data platform while implementing basic features. In the long term, we want to provide a suite of data products that can include automation and prediction. How we enable and empower our customers with data in the future is something that will be discovered together by us and our future team members.
At Instil, we all take part in our own software testing/deployment, and we're looking for like-minded individuals who also embrace a philosophy of end to end ownership.
What You Will Do
Work on the AWS stack and leverage cloud infrastructure such as Glue, RDS, Eventbridge, Elasticsearch and Lambda to build out our data capabilities.
Take part in software testing and deployment, via Serverless framework and Cloudformation
Develop microservices to support data accessibility for other teams
Improve monitoring/alerting of our data processes
What You Possess
Experience writing SQL and working with scripted programming languages (we use python)
Experience working with data tools on modern cloud platforms. (eg: AWS, GCP, Azure)
A collaborative and curious attitude, balanced by an interest in owning and solving complex challenges
Nice To Haves
You have Early stage startup experience
You have experience with Serverless infrastructure and frameworks.
You have working knowledge of DynamoDB.
You have built products that use ElasticSearch.
